Delivery! YAY Thanks Uncle Bruce! You're the BEST!
We graded out the area a bit and took the shed off it's skids.
The view of the shed and garden from our bedroom window.
(I can't wait to see this area with lush grass and beautiful colorful flowers!)
We added a bit of rock to the front entry (Hubby was pretty proud of this idea.) He thinks it's going to save us from having a muddy mess! We pressure washed all the moss and yuck off the walls and roof and proceeded to take out the front window! (I LOVE me some power tools and a crow bar!) I was also glad hubby brought over the generator...it's a long ways back and forth to the garage after the 50th time! : )
Meanwhile our little trooper kids (runny noses and all!) Waited outside and enjoyed a healthy dose of SUGAR via granola bar! Thank goodness for the safety of the picnic table and the distraction of FOOD! Mmmm
Pierce also discovered the moon and added the word to his vocabulary! It's so cute how he says it too!
AND after a bit of measuring, and sawing, and pounding and screwing later! Our new window is IN! (We bought this window over 4 years ago for $23. I've been waiting for this day to come!) It lets in so much light! Woo hoo! Don't worry I know it looks a bit funny now but trust me...in the end it's going to be BEAUTIFUL! Luckily for me, I've always been able to see the "potential" in old or funky things!
That's it for now! Check back for more updates as we paint, add shelving, and repair more walls! After some discussion with hubby we've also decided to convert the back few feet into a chicken coop! I'm so excited! I've been talking to my SIL about chickens for quite some time now! She's getting her coop going and she's inspired me to come up with a way to make ours too!
