Pierce's 1st Birthday Party!

We had a great time with close family and a couple of friends!

Pierce Eating his Cup-Cake! Mmmmm He was pretty funny...at first I think he was a bit frustrated with the mess! Then once he realized how yummy it was, he was cool!

Dempsey of course LOVED the Cup-Cakes!!!

Our friend Julia also enjoyed the cup-cakes! AND showing off her pearly whites for the camera! What a pretty girl!

Nannie made Pierce these CUTE little houses out of boxes! Just what we were hoping for! The boys (including hubby) have been having a great time with them! 

Dempsey is pretty curious too!

After playing indoors we ventured out for a great walk on "Nannie's Trails" as Dempsey calls them! : )

What a FUN day for a great little 1 YEAR OLD!

It's amazing how the past 12 months have passed so quickly!

OH - And at the end of the party....I came in from saying goodbye to a friend and my mom and hubby said..."Pierce just took a few steps!" WOO HOO! He did it again for me as proof!

I'm so proud of you Pierce!!!

Ellensburg Fair

This weekend we went to the Fair in Ellensburg. This was Dempsey and Pierce's 1st time at such an event! Dempsey just barely made the height requirement for the "kiddie" rides! He was a brave little guy and all he wanted was MORE AGAIN! So cute! His cousins were a big help too and they all had so much fun together! We enjoyed all the "fair food" and allowed Dempsey to pretty much eat junk all day (hahaha! He LOVED it!)- just wish I had gotten an elephant ear! Maybe next time! I did however get to ride the "glider" ride! It was Awesome!!! : ) Made me feel like a kid again! I have so many memories of going on rides as a kid! I love that now we're able to share those experiences with our own kids! : )

 

On the "Merry Go Round" - Dempsey LOVED the Horses! 1st ride ever! So cute!

Digi-Scrapping

Pierce is crawling & waving and saying "HI"

Pierce is SO cute these days! He's learning so much and so quickly. Within the last week or so, he's started crawling (see video) and pulling to stand (EVERYWHERE) He's even managed to pull himself up on a flat wall. He's getting better at getting back down too without screaming for mommy....;-)

Today he surprised me by saying "HI" and waving. (See video) This is not something I have taught him. Other than a lady in the grocery store the other day I'm not sure where he picked it up from. I say hi to him all the time, but never with a wave.... he's going to be a smart little guy!

Can you tell...Dempsey is such a proud big brother too! What a great role model!!! A few weeks ago I told Dempsey that when Pierce learned to crawl, he'd better watch out because he'd be coming to tickle his toes! Amazing but it stuck as you can see from his comment in the video! He's got the most amazing memory! : )
